Stay Safe Daily Emergency numbers

Privacy Policy

Last updated:10/15/26

Welcome to Stay Safe Daily. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website. By using staysafedaily.com, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

The only place this site asks you for anything is the Ask a question box in the corner of each page. It takes your message, your email address and a mobile number for WhatsApp or SMS, so the person who runs the site can reply to you. With it the site records the page you sent it from, the page that linked you there if your browser passes that on, and your IP address, which is used to limit abuse. What you send is emailed to the person who runs the site, kept in a log on the site's server, and used only to read and answer your message. There is no contact form, no newsletter sign up and no survey, and the box never asks for your name.

Non-Personal Information

We automatically collect non-personal information about your visit to our website. This information may include:

  • Your IP address

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system

  • Referral source

  • Pages viewed

  • Time and date of visit

  • Page views, counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics (section 3)

  • How pages are read and used, counted by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (section 3, Counting visits)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our website

  • To improve, personalize, and expand our website

  • To understand and analyze how you use our website

  • To develop new products, services, features, and functionality

  • To communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website

  • To reply to a message you sent through the Ask a question box

  • To find and prevent fraud

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This section was rewritten on 25 September 2026 after the site was measured in a real browser rather than described from its own source code. The previous wording was inherited from the site’s WordPress version and said this site sets session and persistent cookies to store your preferences and login information. It does not. There is nothing to log in to and no preference to store.

Since 15 October 2026 this site counts visits with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, described under Counting visits below. Apart from those and the two Cloudflare items next, it loads no fonts, scripts, images or embeds from anyone else’s server, and every other file a page needs comes from staysafedaily.com.

Two more things reach you from Cloudflare, which sits in front of this site as its network provider. They are not in this site’s code and are added at Cloudflare’s edge, which is why a reading of the source would miss both:

  • cf_clearance, a cookie set on .staysafedaily.com. It is marked HttpOnly, which means JavaScript on the page cannot read it, and it is Cloudflare’s record that your browser passed its bot check.

  • static.cloudflareinsights.com, the script for Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views.

Measured on 25 September 2026 on the home page, this page and a guide page, in a real browser, reading the browser’s own cookie store rather than asking the page what it could see. That distinction matters: an HttpOnly cookie is invisible to a page, so a site can check itself and honestly report nothing while a cookie is being set.

Removing either of them is a change to the Cloudflare account rather than to this site, and the site owner has not been asked to make it. Until that changes, they are named here rather than left out.

Counting visits: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

Pages here load Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to see which pages people read, which links they follow and where a page is hard to use, so we can make the site easier to use.

Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your rough location from your IP address, your device and browser, and the actions this site reports to it: opening or closing the Ask a question box, a message that sent, a tap on one of the jump links on the emergency hotlines page, a tap on an emergency number, following a link to another site such as PAGASA or PHIVOLCS, how far down a page you scrolled, and a page that was not found. For a tap on an emergency number it receives only the name of the agency, such as the BFP or 911, and not the number. It does not receive your message, email address, mobile number or anything you typed.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, which it can play back as a recording of the page. The Ask a question box is hidden from it, so a recording shows an empty box where you typed.

Both set cookies to tell one visit from the next. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_GPC6X0Z0J2 on this site, kept for up to two years. Clarity sets _clck, kept for a year, and _clsk, kept for a day, on this site, and Microsoft sets CLID, MUID, MR, SM, SRM_B and ANONCHK on its own addresses, clarity.ms and bing.com. What Google and Microsoft keep, and for how long, is decided by them and is set out in their own privacy statements.

The addresses involved: Tag Manager loads from www.googletagmanager.com, Google Analytics receives at www.google-analytics.com (or region1.google-analytics.com), and Clarity loads from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms, syncs its cookie through c.clarity.ms and c.bing.com, and sends what it records to one collection address under clarity.ms that Microsoft picks for each visit, such as a.clarity.ms, e.clarity.ms, t.clarity.ms, u.clarity.ms or y.clarity.ms.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, none of this loads unless you press Accept on the banner. Everywhere else it loads by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here, and Reject stops it loading on every page after that.

4. Third-Party Services

Two companies handle this site’s traffic. Hostinger serves the files. Cloudflare sits in front of Hostinger and is the source of the two Cloudflare items named in the section above. Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) receive the visit counts described under Counting visits in that section. No advertising network, no social widget and no third-party font service is used on any page.

5. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Links to Other Sites

Our website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party's site. 10. About this site

This site publishes no phone number or email address of its own and has no contact form. The one way to reach it is the Ask a question box on each page, which is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911. How it is written is set out on the How this site is written page.

Ask a question

Ask a question

This is not an emergency service. Nobody watches it in real time and a reply can take days. If you or someone near you is in danger right now, stop and ring 911.

A question about a guide, a hotline number that has changed, or a hazard we should cover next. One person reads it.
